This is a unit that is making it's way for a reopening! This is an opportunity for growth and development of current and new Carle Health employees. 7 Crescent's leadership team is looking for a core team of expert nurses to deliver exceptional care to those it serves. Alongside of expert nursing and clinical staff, 7 Crescent is excited to welcome dedicated, new graduate nurses. Our new nurses will gain the foundational nursing skills necessary to become experts in their field. Diversity in skill, backgrounds, and education is a must as we build a strong unit. Position Highlights:
* Number of beds on unit: 12 (Increase to 18 by end of 2024)
* Patient population (age, diagnosis, specifics about unit): Majority medical patients. Targeted sub-specialty patients will include: DKA and HHS out of critical care, hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, newly diagnosed diabetics.

o Full-time: $4000/calendar year
o Part-time: $2000/calendar year

* Full-time benefits begin at 30 hours and part-time benefits begin at 20 hours

Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Associate's Degree
Individuals hired after August 1, 2013 must obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) within (5) years of start date.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Registered Professional Nurse (RN) License in the State of Illinois upon hire and Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire/start.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English. Basic computer knowledge using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and web browser. Multicultural sensitivity. Critical thinking skills using independent judgement in making decisions.
