Description:

The UIC office of the Vice Chancellor for Advancement (OVCA) seeks an Assistant Director of Portfolio Management. This position will support the fundraising initiatives of the (OVCA) by providing information services and prospect management which includes data entry and maintenance, report generation and distribution, and proactive prospecting activities. The assistant director will utilize prospect screening tools and collaborate with the prospect research team to maintain and improve the quality and depth of the suspect pool and overall prospect pipeline for UIC. This position will report to the Director for Prospect Development and Analytics.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree and/or foreign equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of development services, prospect management, prospect research, or related experience required; 3-5 years preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience of understanding of data storage, information management and data information governance.
  • A working knowledge of MS Office suite, especially MS Excel and MS Access.
  • Experience with customer relationships management systems (CRM) and document imaging systems.
  • Possess a working knowledge of how to retrieve data from simple and complex systems.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and orally with a wide range of individuals at the organization.
  • A strong understanding of the role prospect management and how it supports the efforts of a fundraising organization.
  • Be able to analyze data quickly and present in an accessible and understandable format.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to keep track of and meet deadlines and work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks and projects.


Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Blackbaud products preferred.
