Salary range for this position is $79,081-$93,038; Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
Area of Focus:
The area of focus for this position is Epic/Intersystems Iris (Linux based command line language), Primary responsibilities include design and support of the installation, maintenance, and administration of the environment and related ETL processes. Secondary responsibilities include assisting in the support of other database systems within the environment.
POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision, Database Administrators evaluate, plan, design, configure and project manage implementations of commercial database software application systems. Analyze, test, troubleshoot and maintain installed systems and support users. Provide documentation to support system design, testing and training. Assist with the management of customer expectations and customer interactions and participates in team quality management initiatives.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of healthcare information technology at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelors' degree with concentration in Computer Science OR minimum two years' experience with using information technology systems.
One year or more experience in database disciplines including development and maintenance of hierarchical and/or relational databases is required.
Licensure/Certifications: Must either possess (or agree to attain within six months) certification in Epic Operational Database Administrator to be considered for this position.
Other Skills/Knowledge:
Previous experience in data warehouse, reporting, and system administration is desired.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
One year programming experience preferred.
Experience with using information technology in the healthcare industry.
Experience in relevant database applications is preferred.
Two or more years' experience with using information technology systems that are based in Unix or Linux.
Other skills/knowledge
Previous experience in data warehouse, reporting, and system administration is desired.
