Description

Position Description:

The Billing Account Representative is responsible for performing accounting duties including calculations, reconciliations, verifications, and adjustments while ensuring accuracy and validity of account receivable balances.

Primary Responsibilities:

Acts as a single point of contact to assigned employer groups in order to build relationship; coordinates with other work areas to resolve issues and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Processes cure, termination, and collection notices to enforce terms of employer group health contacts and ensure timely collection of accounts receivables balances.
Reconciles and review outstanding account receivable balances to ensure accurate financial reporting and collectability.
Identifies and analyzes premium payment discrepancies and takes corrective action as needed, creates billing adjustments.
Monitors and resolves moderately complex billing and enrollment errors to ensure timely and accurate production of employer group bills
Validates the accuracy of information on payment backup through conversations with the customer. Maintains timely, accurate documentation for all appropriate transactions.
Addresses special projects as appropriate.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

1 year customer service experience analyzing and solving customer problems required
6 month billing experience required
High school Diploma/GED required
Finance or Accounting experience preferred
Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications
