Position Description

Job Description

Position supports the corporate consolidation, forecasting, and analysis activities for the CNH world wide income statement, balance sheet, and cash flows. The positions primary areas of focus will be the forecasting and analysis activities related to the consolidated balance sheet and cash flows, and preparing the consolidated income statement variance analysis (causal analysis) for CNH management meetings (MM), Fiat Group Executive Council meetings (GEC), and Quarterly earnings releases.

Responsibilities

  • Consolidating and analyzing monthly and quarterly causal variance analysis
  • Prepare and analyze balance sheet and cash flow reports on a monthly basis to ensure there is a complete understanding of the main drivers of variances against budget, forecast, and prior actual performance
  • Coordinate the preparation of balance sheet, cash flow, and causal information for various presentations such as MM, GEC, and the Board meeting
  • Support the preparation of data necessary for external reporting of the quarterly press release and annual 20-F reporting requirements
  • Support the reconciliation of the CNH financial reporting system (HFM) with the Fiat financial reporting system for monthly actual reporting and the loading of forecast/budget data
  • Assist with the preparation and analysis of the consolidated annual operating plan (budget) and five year strategic business plan
  • Work across Brand and Functional Finance teams to drive key initiatives and to ensure the financial analysis contains the key business drivers
  • Load forecast and budget data at the corporate level into HFM
  • Preparing and distributing various financial reports as required
  • Ad hoc analysis, projects, and other duties as assigned


Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree required, with a focus in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • Masters Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business a plus
  • CPA or other International Accounting Certification highly desired and preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years diverse finance and/or accounting experience required in a global manufacturing environment or in public accounting firm supporting manufacturing clients required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a corporate/staff level role(s)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP required; knowledge and understanding of IFRS highly desired and a plus
  • Demonstrated strong understanding in all pertinent areas of finance and accounting including: Financial Statement Analysis, Variance Analysis, Accounting and Control, and Project Management
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience communicating complex financial information with all levels of a global business
  • Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), SAP and/or Essbase experience is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated advanced Microsoft Excel and Power Point skills required
  • Able to work under minimal supervision, perform numerous ad hoc analysis, and work with a flexible schedule
  • Ability to clearly communicate with CNH Business Units, Corporate personnel, and Senior Management
  • Ability to work in an environment that demands a sense of urgency; able to anticipate and adapt to changes in the business environment
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully multi-task, detail oriented with ability to see the big picture.
  • Executive management exposure which requires the individual to demonstrate poise, presence, drive, and a dynamic personality
