You will be responsible for meeting with employees to help them understand the retirement benefits they have available to them through their employer. As this employer allows for multiple retirement providers you will also be responsible for marketing the employees on using Great-West Retirement Services. You will accomplish this by conducting educational seminars, meeting one on one with the employees, and via telephone calls.
This position is not for everybody. This position is best for people who can be aggressive in connecting with employees and consolidating their assets while still offering them the educational tools to make wise decisions. We want a team member who has the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently. Our focus is to provide education and assistance to our employers and plan participants.
As a part of this position you will be responsible for scheduling your employee presentations and appointments. Some on-site training will be provided however you will also need to be self-motivated and dedicated to learning the plan. Therefore, you have to be able to work independently and have strong organizational skills. Travel is mostly local in the Chicago area.
This position requires FINRA Series 6 and 63 licensing as well as state Life and Health licenses. This means that we do a thorough background check and drug test. Top candidates will already have a FINRA S6. Great-West will provide the training materials and sponsorship for the S63 and State Life and Health licenses.
